For those of you that know me, I am an avid Detroit sports fan.  Lately, it's been great rooting for the Red Wings, Pistons, Tigers, and...well maybe not the Lions.  Add to the mix our local college sports programs such as U-M football and hockey, MSU baseketball, hockey and party status (had to throw that one in), Grand Valley State's dominate Division II football tenure and many more I forgot to mention, we have much to be thankful for when it comes to the local sports scene.  ESPN is currently conducting a VOTE for ESPN's TitleTown and I think it would be great to see Detroit win something beyond, "Murder capital of the world" or "Worse Mayor EVER!" awards.
